Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were established in the year 2000 after the collaboration between Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Through the years, they have evolved into a huge designer brand with retail locations worldwide, and it’s one that fashion fans can’t resist.
I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often browse the selection at FarFetch, as they always had an curated selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always found them a bit pricey and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always saved for later. A few years earlier, Adam was the one who was the early fan and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what pushed me to explore them deeper. Seeing his pair up close and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re crafted by hand in Italy, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to appear vintage, they are all hand done so each one is different. Some have much more abrasions and dirt than others, so each pair is unpredictable.
